Theres always a greener grass...

I just came back from a short supper with my dad and uncle Teo and family. Uncle Teo's family migrated to Aussie, Perth and they came back to celebrate christmas and the new year. They passed by our area so Mr. Teo decided to call my dad down for a cuppa tea. Teo and my dad had been friends since sec sch! Till now...Good friendship uh =) I joined my dad for supper cause Mr. Teo's 2 sons, asked me to come along...Anyway i've been good friends with them too! So might as well catch up with them. =)

E elder one, Kaiwen is same age as me..And he gotten his driving lic already! He told me cars is so so so much cheaper in Perth than in Aussie. We were discussing about cars in Mr.Teo's car...He said that 1 Honda Jazz in S'pore can get u 3 Honda Jazzes in 3 different colours in Perth! Wow..imagine that! U can tell that S'pore is selling way above prices. U haven't include Road Tax? HDB parking tax? COE? ERP? HA! Dunno how many more Jazzes can u get in Perth!

N like my dad, Mr. Teo oso refuse to help Kaiwen buy him a car. So Kaiwen went to work every Friday and Saturday. Shops in Perth start late, end early. I went there once...5pm all the shops are closed! Except Saturday, which their so called "Late Night Shopping" instead of closing at 5pm, they close their stores at 10pm! How late night is that in Singapore!!! So..as i was saying..Kaiwen went to work as a Toaster boy =) He toasts bread for morning breakfast. U know, those kinda traditional english breakfast under a cup of coffee...If u were to work at Ya Kun in S'pore wats e pay like? 3-4 per hour? Plus hard labour of mopping e floor and moving stuff? Well...he works there as a toaster boy and bringing down sugar from the store, and arranging the sugar,salt and butter after work. He gets like $14AUS per Hour!!! HOWS THAT?! They are probably more generous i guess? Ha...It starts to make me wonder how can one really live in this hot sunny island?

Ok...Another thing i which really makes me wonder and be cautious about. How can u tell a real friendship or just a fake when someone is treating u good at the moment but when u nid them most. U realise this is how they treat anyone else and u're nothing but just a stranger? Hahaha...Last time I used to go gaga whenever u feel that e friend is paying a so-called "special attention" to you..But in actual fact..u're just the many one of his/her friends who does e same to every other else! Then when u found out u'll jus go like "dammit...i was jus thinking too much..this sucks." It really kinda makes u shatter apart. True enough, its nothing more than merely friends..but it does make one shatter apart. So...how do u know whether there is a really a special attention to u or its a natural character/attitude he/she treats everyone else? Im trying not to...really think theres anything as special attention anymore. It just sucks the hope out of you at the end of the road. :D
